Dear The Kingdom Inside Us, I have a relationship with my mother that serves us both. What kind of relationship would you like to have with your mother? Put it into affirmative treatment form, and start declaring it for yourself. Then you can tell her. If she is still pushing your buttons, you are not letting her know how you feel. You have a right to have the life you want. You have a right to be an adult. It may not be easy. Decide what it is you need. She may not approve of it, but don't make her wrong. Tell her what you need. Ask her: "How can we work this out?" Say to her: "I want to love you, and I want to have a wonderful relationship with you, but I need to be myself."
