California has experienced tragedy after tragedy. Just days after a gunman massacred 12 people in Thousand Oaks, nearby communities were hit by the deadliest wildfires in California’s history.

So far, more than 70 people have lost their lives and the death toll is expected to rise. Thousands of houses and businesses have been destroyed by the flames. As many of us prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, there are thousands of Californians facing a holiday season—and much longer—without their homes.

They need our prayers.

Will you take time today to lift them up to the Lord? Ask God to comfort the survivors, strengthen the firefighters and other first responders, and draw many into a relationship with His Son in the midst of this tragedy.

Please also lift up our Rapid Response Team. Chaplains have deployed to California to minister in Jesus’ Name to those affected by the fires and the shooting. Thank you for your heart to share the love and peace of “God, who comforts the downcast” (2 Corinthians 7:6, NKJV).
