Coffee wasn't George Washington's morning ritual.

Turns out our first president was obsessed with chocolate.

But not the sugary junk sitting in the checkout aisle. I'm talking about the real thing, and once you see what he was actually drinking, you'll understand why this matters for you today.

Here's what most history books skip over...

Back in 1757, Washington placed his first recorded chocolate order: 20 pounds of it. And he never stopped. He kept buying it his entire life... sometimes a single pound, sometimes in bulk. In fact, just three months before he died in 1799, he ordered a staggering 50 pounds.

The man clearly loved his chocolate.

But here's the part that's fascinating...

The chocolate George Washington drank looked nothing like what we call "chocolate" today. It wasn't sugary bars. It was gritty, spiced, and served hot at the breakfast table, grated straight into boiling water or milk, frothed, and sipped like coffee.

In other words? He was drinking something far closer to pure, raw cacao than any candy bar you'll find today.

And that distinction is everything because pure cacao and the sugar-loaded processed stuff most people eat today are two completely different animals for your body.

George Washington was drinking real superfood cacao every morning... and back then, everything was organic and processed without chemicals. There were no cancer-causing agricultural chemicals or harsh extraction methods.

Most people today get garbage chocolate or cocoa... loaded with refined sugars, chemicals, and stripped of the heart-saving flavanols that real chocolate and cacao are known for.

But it's not just George Washington that has reaped the benefits of real chocolate and cacao...

The article below is a fascinating look at how the blue zones in central america and certain tribes drink a large amount of chocolate daily and routinely live to 100 without any heart problems or obesity...
