"Cheers" seems like a fitting greeting considering that today (the first Friday in August) is International Beer Day. (Not ironically—albeit somewhat surprising that there's a "day" for it—tomorrow is International Hangover Day.)
Wacky days aside, this Sunday is both Friendship DayandForgiveness Day. Considering the tremendous importance of social connectedness, the detrimental effects of social isolation and the monumental toll that holding onto pain and anger can take, I urge you to count your blessings, tell your friends how much you appreciate them, and perhaps most difficult, let go.

Coach's Tip: Chew each bite of food 40 times. Why 40? Research shows that chewing 40 times—not 10, not 25, but 40—suppresses appetite and increases feelings of fullness. As an added bonus, chewing your food 40 times increases levels of the hormone GLP-1, which stimulates first-phase insulin response.
